At Richardsons Taxation Services, we believe you don't have to go to a big accounting firm to get the best service and advice. Our staff all have experience working on a farming operation or owning a small business, so we are uniquely qualified to help. We are not your average accountants who sit behind a desk, we have been there and done it ourselves.

HUGH RICHARDSON

Owner, CPA, Tax Accountant

Hugh loves to help small businesses and farmers understand their finances and pay as little as possible to the tax man! He is an experienced taxation accountant who started working in the family business in 1967 and became partner in 1977. In this time, Hugh has seen numerous changes to tax policies, but has never stopped fighting for his clients.
Hugh also owns a small farm in the Bowen area, which he operates with his son, growing small crops and sugar cane. He therefore understands the implications of drought and flooding while managing a farm's finances.

LYNN SMITH

Senior Bookkeeper

Lynn has worked for Richardsons Taxation Services for over twelve years. She enjoys the work because it is more challenging than her previous work in accounts payable and factory management. Lynn enjoys talking with the clients due to the variety of industries helped by our office, and enjoys the feeling of sharing a solution with a client who thinks you're marvelous.
Lynn has a long history in Bowen, first working at Pilcher's in town before leaving to raise her family and manage the farm with her husband. Her previous experience helps her understand the needs of our current clients, especially the farmers as their bookkeeping can be particularly niche. Lynn's commitment to the office and our clients makes her a valued member of the team.

Lori Morris has been an integral part of our team for many years. She came to Richardsons Taxation Services because she was looking for a change, rang Hugh who hired her on the spot.
Lori's career in accounting found her during high school, going on to obtain her accounting degree. After 30+ years as an accountant, she has dealt with all nature of issues for small businesses, and has always wanted to give her clients the best solution at a fair price. Lori's extensive experience in accounting, as well as her dedication to improving our online accounting systems, makes her a great asset to the team.

TANYA DAVIS

Bookkeeper

Tanya works remotely for Richardsons Taxation Services from Brisbane. She has helped improve our online accounting system so that we can do our clients bookkeeping and tax returns from anywhere, at any time.

Casual Bookkeeper

Tammy joined us in mid-2014. She began working as a casual administrative staff, until she showed her competence in bookkeeping. Tammy was also an excellent accounting student at school, and enjoys bookkeeping because it always works out - there is usually a fix to most problems.
Tammy grew up on a cattle property, and is also a dance teacher, but bookkeeping suits Tammy best as she loves to ask questions and to understand. This is key when working on clients books to ensure it's done properly. She enjoys working at Richardsons Taxation Services due to the supportive environment surrounding her, and that the team is always encouraging.
